Celina Scouting & Rotary Club Flag Project
Cub Scout Pack 69, BSA Troop 69 & Celina Rotary Club would like to invite you to participate in the American Flag Display Project. On four federal holidays and the Lake Festival, Scouts will post an American flag in front of your home or business. At the end of the holiday, Scouts collect the flag and store it until the next holiday.
The funds we collect from the Flag Display Project help the Scouts in Celina, both Pack and Troop 69, as well as the Celina Rotary Club. Your support will not only help Celina Scouts with all of their activities, enable local Rotarians to continue benevolent giving to the community, but will also provide a beautiful and patriotic statement to all who pass by your home or business.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
Our flag display holidays:
• Independence Day
• Celina Lake Festival
• Labor Day & September 11th
• Veterans Day
• Memorial Day (2025)
Installation:
The Scouts will mark the install location with spray paint, generally three feet from the sidewalk toward the house, so utilities can be located. They will return a few days later and install a plastic sleeve in the ground. When the flag is not there the sleeve will be topped with a red plastic cap to keep debris out and help locate it. Before each holiday, Scouts will install the flag. After the holiday, they will gather the flag for storage and check if it needs any maintenance. You do not need to be home for any steps.

If you live outside our service area you can sponsor a flag at the Veterans’ Memorial
OPTIONS:
Home, Business, Veteran:
• $75 for one year
• Installed at your address in our service area
Veterans’ Memorial:
• $50 for one year
• Installed at the Veterans’ Memorial at Lake Shore Park
You can sponsor more than one flag, in any combination.
